Queensland Update.....On NSD!!!

Well, seeing as its National Scrapbooking Day, thought it would be a good time to update my blog. We have not long returned from 10 days in Queensland which was very nice and relaxing. Didnt do much but visit, hang out with friends and drink a wee bit!!! Here are some pics:

Dont Break My Heart - Love the butterfly strip.... I cut the 2 off the end so as not to waste them hiding under other embelishments :)

Cherry Blossoms - Using this stunning Bird in a Tree.....Couldnt really think of a better way to show this one but leave it raw....Love it!!!

Just remember, if you like the chipboard I have used, get your LSS to order it in for you!!

Well I'm off... Was hoping to scrap today and the tonight with some friends, but my brother & SIL are coming down for a surprise visit, so dont think that will be happening now :( Oh well, there will be other times.

My mojo that is.... And I am loving the feeling..... I managed to get to 2 Scrapbook Savvy Crops last week (yes thats a huge thing for me!!) which I believe has certainly helped. I am just going to get straight in and show cause I am just super excited about it all LOL!!

These first 2 were done using scraps leftover from SFS Retreat last year. I wanted to see how many LO's I could get out if the reaminders. I Managed 2, but could have got another 2 I reckon... Unfortunately I had to stop and get onto some "girl" pages so I didnt overdo it :)

All Too Much - completely scraplifted from my gorgeous BF Sar, before I realised it was actually blind scrap # 85 over at SFS...classic, so thanks Sar AND Peta

Butterfly Sparkles - this was from March Cybercrop over at Scrapbook Savvy. It was "Stash Buster Month" so it was so good to get in and use some old papers and kits. For this one, which was Kerryn's Challenge, we had to use pre-2010 CHA release, then use the leftovers to make a card.

And here are my cards: You will notice they are actually back to front. Ben was away in Melbourne and took the camera so I used "Photobooth" on my computer, but didnt realise the photos were actually mirror imaged LOL!! You get the idea though - and these have been given away already!

Your Doggy - Is actually a scraplift from Peta during the Savvy/Delights Retreat last year (for which there are a few spots left for 2011 - see here for details). I didnt get to finish it, so put the touches on it and I love it. Thanks again Peta mwah xx

A Giggle in the Hunter (thanks San for the title) - using March He's Savvy Kit.....and you can see why they sold out - simply stunning. All I added from the kit were the gorgeous Prima Flowers which were crying out to jump on my page!! This was a scraplift also, but this time from my just as gorgeous BF Linda.

Bath Monsters - Blind Scrap # 87 at SFS. I had to call it that while using this totally cute monster range which was using this awesome SFS Kit. I was a bit worried about using that particular PP for the background but you know what....I love it. I realised only this morning that I need to read instructions better - little booboo, but I still love it anyway.

And in the midst of all these LOs getting finished, I have decided that when I am using papers I am going to then make a card from the leftovers. Even if I store them and put a number or age on later.... I have found myself making so many cards lately. This one is cute - using the same monster range. Was for the little fella down the road, he thought it was cool!!

This fantastic LO is actually Charlotte's. She received a little scrapbooking album and kit for her birthday. This is the first page of the album - she is clever!!

I had to leave the best til last..... This is a Swap which was organised by Wendy over on the Scrapbook Savvy Forum. I posted her the photo of Oliver with a few details and this is what I got back - I love, love, love it. I have to put the finishing touches on wendy's LO before sending it off. Hope I can do as good for her as she has done for me. Thank Wendy mwah xx

See, told you I was on fire at the moment.... I so dont want to pack my things up because I am scared i'll back the mojo with it!!

from my bestie Sarah... I havent blogged for 2 months she tells me today!! OOPS!!! Slap my wrist :) To be honest things have just gotten in the way. Things?? Yes Things - otherwise known as LIFE!!! Kids, Work, Home, it all gets in the way....of scrapping that is :)

Last Sunday (being 3rd April) I ran in my first (since school) fun run. It was the Kembla Joggers Fitness 5 Fun Run/Walk - so yes, 5 kms. It was so hard, but I am so glad I crossed that finish line in 33:03 minutes. I was joined by hubby Ben, my little sis Bree, besties Sarah & Linda, Anthony & Gordon. I am happy with my time, but now its time to train for the next one and see if I cant reduce it :)

some Exciting News and Show & Tell

Lets start with my exciting news.... That would be that I was picked for the 2011 Design Team for the awesome chipboard company Words or Whatever (WOW). When I saw the email and the subject was Design team Application, I though "oh yeah, a thanks but no thanks".... But it was a YES. It will be a bi-monthly thing which I am very happy with. Not as much pressure to get things done on time etc... I received an awesome selection of goodies in the mail from Suzanne and I have been playing with some of them already. Here is a couple I have completed.

Professional "Dance" Poser:

The word DANCE is from WOW. I am usually one for leaving my chipboard raw or simply spraying it with Glimmer Mist, but this time I decided to get all messy and jazz it up a bit.

* First I inked with pink all over
* Then grabbed a deeper pink and inked just the top half trying the get a smooth transition between the colour change
* Then using purple did the same but from the bottom.
* I added purple "frinkles" just to the bottom edge of the word
* Sprayed the whole word with Pearl Glimmer Mist
* And last but not least, the messiest part - used Dimensional Magic all over to give it....you guessed it....some dimension!

I loved how the LO has turned out, and better still, the photos so suited this months (sold out) She's Savvy Kit. I have added a few things, but the majority is from the kit...

M164 - Car Desk Tidy

Very cute little "Chev" which I am sure my little man will love when he is a little bit older. For this I have covered it all in Cardina Ink, followed by Kindy Glitz for the lights and bumper bars. The black outline I have simply used my zig pen and coloured it in.

I again used Pearl Glimmer mist, then once dry gave it a light coat of dimensional magic (my new best friend)

Included is a pen tidy, but I havent used it this time. I actually didnt put these items in the Chev, my daughter Charlotte did. I am wondering if she might just claim this for her own :)

So there you have it...My first DT reveal for WOW. I have used these chipboard products previous to joining the DT which were purchased from my LSS Scrapbooking Delights. This is what I have done recently.

A Mothers Love: This gorgeous scroll/swirl...... simply sprayed with Iridescent Gold Glimmer Mist

St George Dragons - Inked with Red & Black, outlined with faux stitching around the word DRAGON and then sprayed with Pearl Glimmer Mist.

All Clean - These beautiful journal blocks - I removed the centre piece, inked the outer and then returned the inner before journalling on.

Lotsa Bubbles at New Year - Again I have inked and used glimmer mist on this stunning butterfly. This LO is actually this months STUCK?! 1st February Sketch, using one of the amazing kits from Peta at Scrapbooking from Scratch.

So there you have a huge post full of Wonderful WOW products. I love how these pieces are original, well thought of and best of all, very reasonably priced. Cant wait to show you some more soon....

Photo-a-Day (Week 2)

Well, we are home....and as promised here is Week 2 of photo-a-day

8th Jan- This is where I found my very cheeky 14 month old Oliver....heading up the stairs. He thought he was very clever!!

9th Jan - Again, part of my "organisation" for 2011, I prepared all the dinner meals for taking away camping. This is one of the stir fry vegetable packs in my awesome cryovac machine....

10th Jan - and again, my very cheeky Oliver talking on his toy phone in the car on the way to Lake Conjola. He is trying hard to say "hello"

11th Jan - This is our camp set up using out new camper trailer.... Including....a KING size bed!!!

12th Jan - The girls swimming in the lake...they were in there for hours!!!!

13th Jan - I didn't actually take this photo as I had come home to go to work, but I had to use it....just look at her face, she is so proud catching this fish!!

14th Jan - Driving back down the coast after work I was rather bored on my own....so I decided to take a photo from the front window of the car!!!

Well, thats it from me...off to do some more washing!!! Oh the joys!!!!

Posting from the Lake......

.......Because I am currently on holidays with my family and neighbours at Lake Conjola. We have been here since Monday but i had to go home Wednesday night to attend my 2 days per week of work. It was very quiet at home, but I managed to fit in some ME time which included a walk/run with my friend Jodi on Thursday morning, Kickboxing with my BFF Sarah on Thursday night and then some medicine ball activities on Friday morning....Needless to say I am rather sore this morning, but I got back on the horse (so to speak) and did a short walk/run this morning again. I feel allot better and the awesome swim at the beach helped as well.

Let me show you a few pics from down here, and then I will get into some scrapping news.....Actually, I will do my photo-a-day for week 2 (which includes these photos anyway)

And here is this weeks scrapping update. I have done about 5 or 6 pages for 2011 which is pretty good considering I have been "organising" my house, and been away all of this week. I intend doing some more next week when Ben is away for work. I have photographed them but unfortunately haven't downloaded them as yet. when I get home I will get onto that for you :)!!!

LOOKS LIKE THE PHOTO-A-DAY PHOTOS WILL HAVE TO WAIT AS MY INTERNET ISNT STRONG ENOUGH TO DOWNLOAD THEM AT THE MOMENT.....!!!!!!!!!! WILL DO THAT WHEN I GET HOME!!!!!!!

What I do have for you is Jan 15 STUCK?! Sketch. I really loved this one (I know I say that about allot of the STUCK?! Sketches, but they are just up my alley I guess).

And believe it or not, I have used the December He's Savvy Kit for this one. I have done a few different LO's with this same kit as I felt it was very versatile for both male, female and combination LO's.

Photo-a-Day (Week 1)

There was talk of whether people were doing photo-a-day in 2011. I wasnt 100% sure what I would do with it if I were to go through it, but I thought if I were to do a weekly post on here, then I can just include the 7 photos taken during the week. I mean, it was rather easy, especially when I have my iphone on hand at all times, and it takes pretty good photos.

Well, I have managed a photo every day...for the 1st week at least :) Lets see if I can keep it up!!

1/1 Oliver decided he would work out how to pull himself to a standing positon at the lounge
2/1 Charlotte & Oliver after a swim in our pool - was such a gorgeous day, we couldnt waste it

3/1 Charlotte's little friend Taylah and her sister Mikaylah came over for a play. They piled up the cushions and made a snow mountain

4/1 I cleaned up my scrap room and Oliver came to investigate - he found some stickers to play with
5/1 My princess god-daughter Georgia's 4th Birthday. She was on such a high and had a great night.

6/1 The birthdays continued with our precious boy Mason's 1st birthday. He looked like he was having a good afternoon, even though I am sure he had no idea what all the fuss was about
7/1 And this one is of my work station. It was in such a mess so I had to tidy it up and sort some things out. This photo was taken before that.

I managed to do 4 LO's last Tuesday at Savvy Crop so will come back and show them in the next day or so. I am off to my scrap room now to see if I can get anything done...if not at least started.

Happy New Year 2011

And I am in a very good place. Spent a fantastic night last night at Daniel & Sarah's place. Great laughs, water fights, soaking wet kids and plenty of the bubbles to go around....alcohol bubbles that is (just to clarify to those who are still waking up!!).

Sara asked the other day on the Scrapbook Savvy Forum if anyone had a "word" for the year. I decided my word would be "Organisation". Organisation of my mind, body, house, scrapping....you know what its like! I did try this in 2010, but it all seemed to come in spurts. I got everything under control, but then I let things slip so it took me a while to get it all back again.....

So, day 1 of Organistion 2011.....

Show you all the 1st fantastic sketch for the year over at STUCK?! Sketches; I will admit this one stumped me a bit - not sure why...perhaps due to its simplicity?? I am not sure, but whatever the reason I am pleased with the outcome in the end as I am sure you will agree when you check out the STUCK?! blog showcasing so many versions of the sketch.

Our very excited girls doing their bit to cheer on the St George Illawarra Dragons during the 2010 NRL Grandfinal. Of course they won - could it have anything to do with the "Jnr Cheer Squad?"

You have probably been asked this already, but is there a New Years Resolution for 2011? I dont really have one - I never seem to keep them anyway.... what about a scrapping challenge?

Last year was the 52 Weeks of Me. I have not yet finished it, but I am determined to do so in the next couple of weeks. Sar managed to get hers done, and I am very proud of her - the album looks awesome.

I was wondering whether a "food" diary would work? I am always looking for new ideas to feed the family, and I was given a couple of new cook books for christmas to add to my collection which I love. If I could aim for 1 new dish a week - whether it be a main meal, dessert, even just for a treat?

This morning we had Dutch Pancakes. Ben got a machine for Christmas from his "secret santa" so he tried it out this morning. They were yummy, and yes I took photos!!!

OK, thats it.... 52 new recipes for 2011. Thats my aim..... See how it works out!!!

Best be off to continue "organising" the toys these kids got for christmas - I need to find new homes for them all so we can have our pool table back.

BUT, OMG.....just while I was sitting here typing this post, look what Oliver did.....

Merry Christmas with a Sketch

A STUCK?! SKetch that is..... the very last one for 2010. I have to say the sketches which are designed by the very talented Sara, ahve gotten better as the year has gone on. I hope you would agree....I know this time is extremely busy, but you wont be disappointed if you were to win one of the fabulous prizes on offer, by simply submitting your take on the following sketch:

My take on this one was actually another page for my 52 Weeks of Me Album (which is so far behind oopsie!!). The size is 8.5 x 11 and if you look really closely, you will notice its actually a LO of a LO I did the month I won DT over the month over at Scrapbook Savvy. I also used the same papers from the He's Savvy Kit to complete the LO.

And here it is....

This has been, and will continue to be a very big week.... The lead up to Christmas is a busy yet exciting time. I will spend this time with the most important people in my life - my family and friends, and it makes me so happy to know I have them around.

Oliver is being very misheivious, trying to pull the decorations off the tree and he has even tried to open one of the presents under the tree. Surprisingly, he is learning the word "NO" very quickly...... Now that he can crawl, I guess he has other exciting things to explore.

Well, this may be my last post before Christmas, so I would like to take this opportunity to wish all my blogger/STUCK?! Sketches/facebook/forum friends a wonderful Merry Christmas and all the very best for a safe and Prosperous New Year. I look forward to continuing the "time" we spend together in 2011.

'Tis the Silly Season Allright!!!!!

Yep it sure is.... December is here, and so are the crazy people, impatient people, just plain rude people.... Why is this so? Is it really that stressful shopping for Christmas? I always get stuck on one or two people, but its Christmas. Its the thougght that counts, so lets think about what Christmas REALLY means and be happy for what we have and who we are!!!!

Speaking of being "stuck"....I so need to share 1st December's STUCK?! Sketch with you. I have to say this one is on the top of the list for my faves for the year:

Paid a visit to Santa yesterday with the kids. I didnt think anything of it, but when we got there and started to walk up to the big fat fella, Oliver started to make a funny face....which turned into him being less than impressed and crying. We tried to give him his "doggy" which he pushed away, and even gave him his dummy, but he cried under it anyway..... We were laughing which sounds so mean and cruel, but you have to capture every aspect of your childs life, not just the happy smily ones - so here it is:

So being the end of the year, everything is finishing up. Charlotte has finished pre-school before starting big school next year, dancing has finished - with only a couple more swimming lessons still to go. I just cant believe how quick the year has gone, and next week I return to work after more than 12 months maternity leave. Its certainly going to be weird going back, but I am sure I will be fine once I get there and get back into it. I was hoping to be super organised before I went back, but with the past few weeks, this has just been unachievable. I have so much ironing to catch up on, the general keeping of the house etc...not to mention trying to keep up with the washing in this rediculous rainy weather.....Oh well, I can only do so much, but will be working on it over the weekend thats for sure.

Tonight however, I am off to Scrapbook Savvy Christmas Crop. I havent been able to get to a Friday night crop for quite a while due to Ben's shift changes, so I am looking forward to it thats for sure.

And in case you missed it, Scrapbook Savvy Cybercrop last weekend was "Pre-Christmas" theme, with the idea being to scrap last years (or previous if you are slack like me) Christmas photos before we go and take more for 2010. I am very pleased to say I managed to complete all 4 challenges and I love them all... Here they are:

Well, best be heading off....I have booked my kids in for make-up swimming lessons this morning and they are both tucked up sound asleep in bed, maybe I should cancel the lessons and go back to bed myself!!!! Na, just kidding.

Its been Hectic.....

To say the least......

I have been doing minimal scrapping, just trying to catch up on things lacking in the household - just feeling overwhelmed, but things are getting better!!!

Last weekend, spent an AWESOME weekend in Branxton at the Scrapbooking From Scratch Annual Retreat. Met up with some wonderful, ladies - some of which I have met before, others new faces.......and oh boy were there some laughs!!! I dont think I have laughed that hard in a very long time. Thank you SO much to each and every one of you - especially the gorgeous Miss Peta, cant wait til next year!!!

SO, I bet you're wondering where all my LO's are from the weekend? I managed 23 in total but since the weather hasnt been the best since I returned, I havent managed to photogaph them, but will so as soon as possible.

I will be completely honest, this one threw me a bit, but I like how it eventually turned out.

Yesterday was Melbourne Cup Day. Spent the day with my beautiful girls Sar, Linda & Donna... Although the weather wasnt the best, it didnt let it "dampen" our day and we had an absolute ball. Lets see if I can get some of the pics off facebook that we took......

So you can see by my huge post, I have been really busy - and there is more to come in the next few weeks with Miss Sarah's 30th Birthday, Ben's birthday, My Little Sis Dannii also turning 30, Oliver's 1st birthday, Charlotte's first ever dance concert....and I havent even mentioned going back to work and Christmas (phew) I am just tired thinking about it.

Well, on that note, I am heading off here to get my kids into bed so I can tidy up and hopefully put my feet up for a little while before bed.

I have been busy this morning with 5 little cherubs in my care, so only a short post today. I have updated my 52 Weeks of Me album so will be able to share when there is a little quiet in the house (maybe tonight if I am lucky!!!). No seriously, I have no regrets at all, these kids are just the best and I love em dearly. They are getting on so well, and as soon as the littlest cherub wakes up we are going to head off to the park....Oh, sounds like him now.

First up we have OCTOBER 1st over at STUCK?!.....yes thats right OCTOBER....where on earth has this year gone? Its unbelievable - but check this out:

STUCK?! this month decided to debut the size of 8.5 x 11 which is becoming very popular. We saw two new CT members joining the team and some awesome (yet again) takes on this sketch.

Because I am still doing my 52 Weeks of Me album, I decided to take advantage of the 8.5 x 11 and here is my take:

New Month Approaching......

Yep...tomorrow....tomorrow is the 1st of October - I cant believe it. Where has this year gone? Soon enough I will be organising my baby boys 1st birthday OMG!!! I dont want to even think about that just yet please!!!

Today Hubby kept the kids for me so I could go to Scrapbook Savvy Crop day ALONE....no kids....yep, kid free..... I managed to complete 6 LO's which is fantastic. I havent taken photos of them yet as the good light had gone by the time I got home. I can show this one, which is the September Sketch over at Scrapbook Savvy. You only have a few hours to get this done - or just do it for the sake of it.

Hi Again,

I have been a little quiet lately, but I have scrapped about 9 LO's this month now, so I think my mojo has returned and I am ready an raring to go. I only have 1 LO to show this time and it is once again a fab LO from STUCK?!

More 52 Weeks....

Well, September is well and truly on its way...I mean its the 10th today already. I have been very drained and therfore very lacking in my scrapping mojo and havent done any LO's since returning from retreat. I did manage however to attend the Scrapbook Savvy Crop day last Tuesday and I think there was a vibe in the room...Cause I managed to complete 3 LO's and almost a fourth (I forgot to take my bag of Thickers - der me, so I couldnt title it...)

Now I am only able to share 2 of them today which are 2 more for my 52 Weeks of Me album. I am still behind, but catching up slowly!!! I intend to be caught up before the end of the year LOL....

Spring has Sprung......

I am so very excited that Spring has finally arrived. I was really over the whole winter feeling - not wanting to get out of bed, lack of motivation....you probably know what I mean.

Unfortunately I have been lacking in allot of motivation for the last 2 weeks since returning from retreat, and my MOJO is goooooonnnne!!!!! Nowhere to be found. Sunday night when I returned my neighbour got some bad news that her 11 year old dog was really sick, then Charlotte was hit with the dreaded tummy bug, Oliver decided sleep was no longer his thing, so basically I dont think I have really caught up - then of course Oliver gets the bug, followed by me, and after 4 days, I still feel blah!!!!

Trying hard to get my focus back, just taking one step at a time. Today I am on a mission to regain my bedroom today (has turned into a dumping zone) so I am hoping my mojo has been dumped there too LOL!!!!

Now, enough of that - I do have some GOOD news.... The GOOD news is *insert drum roll here*...... STUCK?! Sketches have a new and (once again) awesome sketch.

And it ALL continues

The hectic schedule that is.....

Clean up from Oliver's Christening, followed by packing and getting semi-organised for the Scrapbook Savvy/Scrapbooking Delights Retreat. And WOW, what a weekend it was.... I met up with people I alreay knew, and met some on-line friends in real life. I think that was the highlight of the weekend, because the girls were just awesome....check out all the chicky babes xx. I just wish we could have spent some more time with them, but there is always next year!! (oh, thanks for letting me pinch the photo PJ!!)

I will show off some of the LO's I completed which was a total of 13 LO's, 1 card and 1 OTP (mini album). I so missed my family though, but it was so nice to be greeted when I got home with big hugs - it just makes it all worth while xx

Oliver's Baptism & New STUCK?! Sketch

Well, all the preperation and hard work paid off yesterday when we celebrated our little man Oliver's Baptism. Surrounded by our gorgeous family & friends it was a fab day. Oliver was so good all day and I cant believe how spoilt he is. I probably would have maybe liked someone to purchase him a new room so I can store all his new goodies LOL...... So thanks everyone for sharing Oliver's day with us.

Now that the Baptism is all over, its time to prepare for the Savvy/Delights Retreat which starts this Friday. It seems to have come around so quickly, and I am totally excited about it, although I am feeling a little unprepared!!! BUT, I will be pulling things out over the next couple of nights and putting page kits together - Not sure how many I should aim for this year? I would like to think I could make it to 20.......so maybe I should go for 15 and anything over that will be a bonus.

Birthday Celebrations BONUS Sketch

Hi again,

Thanks to everyone for my wonderful comments, and appologise for the mix-up with not being able to comment. I was thinking I didnt have any friends out there, until Sara emailed me to tell me of my "dilemna". So with huge thanks to Sara, I can now have my scrapping friends share some "love" and I am happy again xx

To continue this month with STUCK?! Sketches birthday celebrations, we are very lucky to have a bonus sketch for the month, aswell as some awesome "Guest Designers". To add to the excitement, my beautiful friend Linda is one of the designers - and I can certainly see why!!!!

I havent had a chance to do this sketch yet, but I will certainly be giving it a go in the coming week or so.

In the meantime, here is the sketch which I think is totally fab.

I spent the last couple of days in Newcastle for my cousin Libby's 21st Birthday. I have so many photos to go through, but once I have I will share them with you, aswell as my "secret project" I was working on but couldnt show. (was Libby's birthday present).

I have some serious organising to do this week for Oliver's Christening on Sunday, then the following week will be tied up getting organised for the Savvy Delights 2010 Retreat. STUCK?! August 1st Sketch with New CT

Good morning everyone... Well, not a really good morning for me. I have a very unsettled baby at the moment so the last 2 nights has been with minimal sleep - BUT, must soldier on. Ben let me have a lie in this morning which was great, hopefully its enough to catch up a little.

Away from Home....

Well, I am still away from home so no photos, no LO's just me....

Haveing a nice relaxing few days with the relos and today the kids and I took a drive to Branxton to visit the lovely Miss PJ and her gorgeous little cherubs. I think it is so cute how kids can just relax with each other even though they hardly know each other and be friends and play nicely. It was a shame we had to leave and even though I had warned Charlotte it would be a quick visit, it was still sad to have to tell her it was time to leave.

Now, since I have no visuals to share, I thought I would share something else with you. I copied it from Sar's blog when she asked these questions of little Master Cooper. Here are Charlotte's responses of the same questions:

I am so very excited and cant wait to start playing with the new sketches. Congrats also to all the other talented ladies, including my gorgeous BF Sar....woohoo.... I am still jumping for joy!!!

LO's that is. I am off to Newcastle tomorrow to visit my relos, so thought I would put up a post before I have to go and pack. I have so many here that I havent submitted so thought I should load them.

First one I have to show is from June Savvy Random Kit Challenge using the June He's Savvy Kit..... AND GUESS WHAT..... I WON woohoo!!!!!! I was so excited. Sar gave me a July We're Savvy Kit to play with as the July Guest Designer for Scrapbook Savvy, and I have done 2 LO's already. I love it, so bright and vibrant. I cant show yet, but I will show what LO won me this priveledge.

This was one of my entries in the May Savvy Random Kit Challenge using the May He's Savvy Kit.

This is my nephew Josiah when he was only a few days old. I have used the Bebe Boy range for this one.

Unfortunately I cant remember what this range was, but I loved it.... I have used it quite a few times and gave a different effect. The photo is of Ben with Oliver in the pram ready to go home from hospital.

Same range as previous - showing the different effect. How cute is the little owl.....I love this photo of Emma & Oliver. Emma is such a gem with all our kids.

And so not to bore you too much with my mega LO upload (there is more to come), here is a photo of my little cherubs. These two are gonna be great mates I can just see it. Oliver is really taking to Charlotte with such character xx

Of to pack for me weekend away. Just me and the kids going, but it will feel as though we are going for a year the amount of stuff I have to take: bottles, sterilizer, formula, baby food (I make all my own)....cot plus bedding, pram, rocker.....and thats wthout us having any clothes. Oh well, it will be fun so lets get to it.

On fire in June....

No, not literally. I have just done so much scrapping this month and in between all of this I have some news.... Cant share yet, but will be able to reveal very soon. In the meantime, here is what I have been doing - well what I have photographed anyway.....

This one is of all our kids down "The Farm" in Nowra. All our hubbys have grown up going to the farm, and it seems our kids are also loving being there....

This is a STUCK?! sketch from a few months ago. I posted it on the SKETCH?! site but just didnt blog it. Its a most adorable photo of my neice Addisen at Charlotte's 4th birthday.

Next one is of Charlotte & Jared playing around with all of Jared's bibs. It was for a CC challenge over at Scrapbook Savvy (also a month or so ago)

Another Scrapbook Savvy CC creation. This time Sar's Blind Challenge. The photo is of Charlotte with 2 of her friends Georgia & Sophie. Photo also taken at Charlotte's 4th birthday.

Sunny Autumn Day....

Monday morning and usually Ben sleeps for a few hours before heading out to swimming lessons for Charlotte. Instead, we ventured into Belmore Basin with the gang for playgroup. We havent been able to go for quite a while due to my work and then Charlotte's swimming, so it was nice to catch up with those we dont see very often.

I have managed to complete 5 LO's so far this month.... You will notice I have used the "She's Savvy" & "He's Savvy" kits from Scrapbook Savvy. They are absolutely amazing kits and have been selling out fast..... here are my LOs:

This one is using the "He's Savvy Kit" which is now sold out..... I have totally scraplifted Sar W in her LO titled "AT CJ's". I love it so much, I just had to copy (thanks babe)

This next one is Week 9 of my "52 Weeks of Me". I am a bit behind, but I will catch up slowly. It my lil Sis Shonae & I at her 16th birthday.....Using the "She's Savvy Kit"

This is Charlotte getting her Hair Wrap done while at Dreamworld in QLD. I have submitted this as part of the April Random Kit CHallenge over @ Savvy using the "She's Savvy Kit". I love this kit.....

Again submission for the monthly challenge but this time using the "He's Savvy Kit". Oliver at Movieworld as part of his month page....he is 4 months old.

And this last one, also using the "She's Savvy Kit" is Charlotte one day when she dressed up in her gardening attire and incorporated my "heel highs" as part of the outfit - she cracks me up!!!

So there you have it. My scrapping so far. I am hoping to do more tonight once my cherubs are tucked up in bed!!!

Mega April Catchup....

Wow, where does the time go? Its April already: my baby girl turned 4, easter has been and gone.... and of course Oliver is growing everyday!!

March was pretty full-on with Charlotte's birthday, our trip to Gold Coast QLD, Ben went off the Melbourne for the Formula 1, and then the kids & I spent the easter weekend in Newcastle with my beautiful relos, and while I was there, I was lucky enough to go and visit Lauren & Luke with their new baby girl Bella (Chloe wasnt there, so didnt get to see her!!)

Not much on the scrapping front in March, but will show a few of what I have done. Have started out well for April though, so hopefully can keep it up....

Well, its Sunday and I havent blogged all week - slack I know, but we actually went camping for the beginning of the week (no internet access), then things have been hectic trying to clean up etc... BUT, I am here now, so thats all that matters.

I cant believe our little man was 2 months old last Sunday. I am taking the photo of the month again like I did with Charlotte.

Firstly to let you know that I didnt gain a DT spot at Savvy. I wont deny that I am not disappointed, but its Sarah's decision and I am sure she has made the right choice in Anthea.

So... other news is that I have a new niece. Addisen Jorjeena was born on Monday 18th January (her due date). Unfortunately we had left to go camping when we got the news, so it was 2 days before we actually got to see her. Here is some pics I took of her at our place on the Wednesday:

Here are a few more LO's from the Savvy Cybercrop which was held over the weekend (last weekend) The theme was holidays so it made me go back and do some of our holiday to New Zealand I have been putting off.

I didnt get to do Kerryn's sketch, but since I got the photos printed for it, I will still do it - just not in time for judging.

She learnt (sort of) how to play shuttlecock - maybe one day she will be able to play with an apponent!!

I think thats all the news I have to share this week. I am hoping to get upstairs and do the sketch from Scrap the Girls, but I have a rather annnoying headache. I have been up since 3.30 this morning, so I guess that might explain it. Perhaps I should just hit the sack as soon as I can.... hhmmm, yep, good idea me thinks.

Savvy Cybercrop A Waiting Game & **A LO Share

First up, just to let you know the January Cybercrop has commenced over at Scrapbook Savvy. I am hoping to get these done before we go down the coast on Monday. I wont be taking my scrap stuff as I think it might be too dirty camping... Will have to take cross stitch and a book instead.

The waiting game is on at the moment for the arrival of my new neice. She isnt due til Monday (18th Jan) but we thought she was coming on Wednesday - oh no false labour. Its my sister's first baby and she is so over being pregant and just wants to have her here in real life. Its really hard also because her DH Paul has a 4 year old, Bailey, and he is due to return to his Mother on Monday. She was hoping for the baby to be born before the end of his visit, but that may not happen now. Unfortunately there isnt much we can do about Mother Nature - she certainly has a mind of her own.

Oh well, I will keep you posted, but in the meantime here are my LO's I have been doing over the last week. This brings my total for 2010 to 11. I was hoping to get 1 per day done, which means I am 4 LO's behind, but I am hoping Oliver settles well tonight and I should be able to achieve something before bedtime.

1st one is the Blind Challenge held by Kayla Renee over at Savvy last week. If you would like to do it and possibly win a prize, it is open until the end of CC deadline of 21st January. You will find the instructions here. The photo is one taken the other day of Oliver in his new green outfit (hence the title).... I cant believe he is almost 2 months already.....I have used the November We're Savvy Kit.

This next one is week 2 of "52 Weeks of Me". Its a photo of me (of course) the day I met Baby Mason. Isnt he adorable.... All items used for this LO came from the December She's Savvy Kit from Savvy.

I absolutely adore this photo of Charlotte holding Oliver after we had come home. She just loves him so much... This is a just because and I have used left over BG papers & embellishments along with some other randoms (I am determined to get through my stash)

And last but not least Our Little Boy and His Dummy - using the November He's Savvy Kit.... I will be honest and say I also scraplifted this, but I am sorry to say that I cant remember who's LO it was. I saw it, and just did it... SO, if this looks like one of your pages - thanks!!

As you can see, I have used mostly the contents from the awesome kits over at Scrapbook Savvy. They are available on the 1st of every month. Unfortunately since having Oliver there wasnt much scrapping done, I wasnt able to enter the monthly Random Kit Challenges, but I have enjoyed using the products. I am sure I will be ready to go now for the Feb kit.... I wonder what they will be????

I also have to praise myself doing these BOY LO's. I was so scared (just ask the girls) when I found out we were having a boy - how was I going to scrap BOY pages LOL... I am actually enjoying them (believe it or not). Hope my mojo keeps up.

Anyway, finishing off now so I can go and (try) scrap before Oliver wakes up for his last feed of the night. I will try and get back here soon... fingers crossed.

New Babies, a trip to the beach, & 2010 LO Share...

Wow, what a week... We've had 2 babies born, the gorgeous Georgia turned 3.... and yes I have been scrsapping also. Let me introduce you to 2 new little boys -

29th December 2009, Leanne (Charlotte's preschool teacher) & Johnny welcomed little Max (sorry no pics). We finally managed a visit this week.... He is so cute - tiny little thing!!!

Then on 6th January 2010, Master Mason Anthony Zanotto was welcomed by Anthony, Linda & Jared. We left it til the next day to go visit - and he is gorgeous also.... check out the photos:

Weigh In and Some more Pics....

Well the challenge is on now to regain my pre-baby weight. I am doing pretty good considering I had a caesarian and wasnt able to do much for a few weeks. I have been on my Wii Fit and also started walking again with my Mum. I would like to start running again, but thought I should give it a few more weeks as I still have a small part of my incision which hasnt quite healed. I am down to 69.6kg which means I have 5.6kg to go to reach my goal weight. Ideally I would like to go lower, but would be content with that.

I have no scrapping LO's to show although I have managed 4 LO's this year (woohoo). The weather hasnt been good enough to take the photos, but I promise I will get them up as soon as possible....

In the meantime, I will show some pics of my beautiful family:

This is Ben & Charlotte during our trip to the snow last year... we had a great time - who needs skiis!!

And some more pics of our new Oliver, and the meeting time with his big sister Charlotte...

We have been so blessed with these 2 children, I couldnt ask for more than this. Our family is now complete and I look forward to watching these 2 bond and (hopefully) form a beautiful relationship. If the last 7 weeks has anything to go by, Charlotte will be great with him - she just adores him to bits xx!!

Well, its time to hit the scraproom. I am sure as soon as I get in there Oliver will wake for a feed, but lets not sit around waiting I say!!!

A New Year - A new Beginning

Well you would have noticed I havent blogged for a while... BUT, a new year and a new beginning includes keeping up to date with my scrapping, blog, and friends I have met along the way.

Again since I havent blogged since October 2009, there would be no announcement of the new addition to our now complete family - 17th November at 10.15am, we very proudly welcomed our little man Oliver Benjamin. A tiny little thing, weighing only 2.7kg.

I have so many other photos which I will share another time.... I am just trying to get a start before the cheeky boy wakes up from his sleep. (timing is everything at the moment LOL)

On a scrapping note, I have set myself a challenge for this year. I am calling it the "52 weeks of Me!". I have arranged an album from Sarah (an 8.5x11) so I can take a photo and scrap it for 1 day a week for the whole year. The album will be primarily about me. Its not often I am in front of the camera, so this is a plan to get me motivtaed into actually liking what I see in photos. I am always snapping shots of Ben, the kids, even the dog... but rarely I am in the frame. I have taken this weeks photo already - of course had to be at new year. Its a picture of all of us at my brothers just after midnight. Oliver wasnt too impressed by the whole ordeal as you can see, and Charlotte... well I think she was just being a dork.

I havent scrapped this yet, but will be working on it tonight.I have completed 3 LO's already but the weather isnt too kind to us today so will have to photograph them another day and show them off.

Other scrapping news is that of a sad occassion. Our beautiful and talented Miss Lisa Warren has resigned from the Scrapbook Savvy Design Team. Reading the forum there were allot of other girls who were equally as shocked and saddened by this news. I know though it is for very good reasons and I wish her all the best for a healthy future. This has of course opened a position at Scrapbook Savvy for a new DT member. I have put my name down again, but looking at the list, the competition will be tough and again, I do not envy the decision Miss Savvy Boss, Sarah, will have to make.

Motivation has Blown away....

Yes you heard it right. No motivation for anything this week. I feel a bit better today, but not 100%. I am not sick, I am just feeling a little down in the dumps and miserable... uncomfortable and tired. I know its probably normal, but not really normal for me.

So I have no scrapping to show. I will get off my butt and show off all what I did at retreat and since, but I have to find the right light, therefore the right time to photograph them all.

So update on the Savvy DT call. I wasnt selected which is disappointing, but never mind. The competition was tough and there was only 2 spots. Desicion was made to choose Kayla Renee and Sara - 2 very talented scrappers.....

Well, since its the long weekend allot of people are heading off on hols. We are just hanging here which is still nice. We have 2 5 year old birthday parties tomorrow and then a family picnic on Sunday so I think that should be enough to lift the spirits somewhat.

It has been at least a few months since I blogged and I am in big trouble for it. So much has been happening, I just didnt seem to find the time for this.... I have so much to share from Scrapbooking Delights Retreat, but have only done a few LO's for the Srapbook Savvy DT call since then. I am so looking forward to getting more done as things slow down for me...... of course before things speed up again!!!!

Well who has been completely slack this month then.... hhmm? Yes I know, appologies. Been a bit crazy for me with home, work, and of course being unwell to top it all off.... who ever said that being pregnant was supposed to be a good time in your life... All I feel at the moment is crap, I guess it HAS to get better cause it sure couldnt get any worse. BUT, in saying that I am so grateful for the opportunity to bring another little cherub into the world. With my long medical history, Doctors couldnt predict if this would ever happen... especially not twice. So I am happy about it, dont get me wrong, its just hard trying to carry on while feeling so unbelievably crap...

Well enough of my whinging. Its time to show that I have actually been doing some scrapping this month, even though I havent posted them. Thought since its the last day, its high tide I did... so here goes.

National Scrapbooking Day was held at Scrapbook Savvy and a great day was held by all. My DH didnt believe me that there was such a thing.... He just laughed when I told him, before heading off for his motorbike riding weekend LOL. This is what I managed with the help of sketches and scraplifting....

These first 2 are the 7th (#19) and 8th (#20) Inspired Blueprints sketches for the month of April. Unfortunately they werent posted early enough for me to have them finished in time, but I loved them anyway and had a good time completing them.

Now for these ones....

This was a Scrap Therapy Blind Scrap which I didnt get to do. I just printed off the instructions and away I went.... Quite a simple LO, but I like it all the same....

This is a just because. I just had to have the corner flower from Scrapware. I had been eyeying it off for ages at http://www.scrapbooksavvy.com.au/store/index.php, and it fit beautifully on this page. I also used my new Glimmer Mist which I am sssoooo in love with....

This is a scraplift from one of Sar's many albums. Its very cute I think.

These were done at crop night Scrapbooking Delights.... havent been able to make it lately, so it was great to get along and catch up with the girls. Started out rather slow, but managed 3 LO's before heading home so not a bad effort....

Crop night at Savvy wasnt as productive as I stupidly forgot to take my photos with me... Why would you need photos LOL. I had spent ages sorting them out into date order, and put them in the folder ready to go.... and with the comotion of the seriously heavy down pour of rain and running to the car without getting the papers wet, I walked out without my album..... I had this photo floating in my stuff which was OK, and then I scabbed a photo off Sar. I wont do that again will I (forget my pics I mean). So this is what I managed....

Now the rest of these I have managed to get done on my own at home. I figureed I only have about 6 months to catch up on Charlotte's scrap pages before the new addition arrives and then I am going to want to scrap he/she so every opportunity I will be scrapping. I think I am doing OK, and thanks to Kindra... she made me get some more recent pics done and I think it is helping with my mojo. I will keep going back to the older ones and get a mix done. I know I will get there eventually!!! So here goes.

This is IB Sketch # 21. I have used Glimmer Mist on this one too... Just love it... Charlotte's first haircut (at the age of 2 LOL)

Savvy May 09 Add Challenge. I used it as more of a sketch than the concept of the white space. But I think its just what you get from it so its good...

This was a very quick, just because... but too cute dont you think.

This is a double from Pagemaps. My Lil sis's Year 12 formal....Dont you just love the thickers. New purchase with my birthday voucher from Savvy... very spoilt girl I am!!

This one is the IB DT call. I like the sketch so did it, but dont think I will submit it. There are far more talented scrappers out there... will see.

This one is IB sketch # 22. can you tell I like the IB sketches.. I think I have only missed a couple since they started. They are just so versatile

and the last one is one I do really like. I guess it might have something to do with the starting point. It is the May scraplift for Savvy, and Hayley was the starting point. She does some fabulous work.

Anyway, I will leave you with that. I am going to head over to Sar's later, but dont think there will be much scrapping happening. Its really wet here and its hard for me to get everything in the car while keeping it dry as I dont have internal access from the house to the garage. Anyway, will pop over for a visit, the kids can have a play and see how we go.

Long time between Posts.... sorry!

Well there really hasnt been much time in this household for anything, let alone scrapping. Between my work, Bens work, Tai Kwon Do... gymnastics, swimming, school activites, the list goes on.... BUT, a couple of weekends ago, and then yesterday and today I have made up for it.... I have completed all 6 of the IB Sketches and I am thinking I like em.

So here goes:

These are my little sisters Bree & Dannii. They had a little too much to drink with not enough sleep at a 24 hour cancer fundraising walk.... They had fun though and the photos show it....

This is Charlotte and I on the side of the road heading up to Mt Bullar. This little Gnome house was just there in a tree on the side of the road. I couldnt believe no-one had come along and vandalled it... It wouldnt be there long in Wollongong, thats for sure!!!

On a not scrapping note... here are a few random pics of late.

1st one is of Charlotte and Georgia watching playschool. I looked after the kids while Sarah went to the SIA (and I got a lovely little present for it woohoo)... It looks like they were so much trouble hey!! LOL

These 2 are of Cooper and Charlotte at Sarah's sister Nic's 40th birthday. It was an ART dress up theme... Cooper was "Speed Racer" (I think, sorry Coop), and Charlotte was a Bumble Bee. When she arrived though, she put on Cooper's helmet and he said she looked like the Pollen Jocks from the Bee Movie. Classic how these kids imaginations work isnt it.....

This is my little monkey on Easter morning. She had an egg hunt... the easter bunny was very cheeky and left eggs all over the house....

And then she had to open the big rabbit and of course ALL the paper came off at the same time....She enjoyed herself though!!

Pizzas are ready for the oven... topped with cheese YUM!!! AND.. suprisingly not too much mess.

This was her finished product... and very proud of herself indeed!!

OH... I almost forgot...

Look what I got in the mail today. I won a Kaiser RAK from Tiff... Woohoo.... Thanks heaps Tiff. Will see what I can do with these!!!!

Well, I am heading out soon to go to the dentist. Believe it or not I am looking forward to going as I have been having serious problems with my tooth and I need it fixed!!!!! I kept putting it off, and now its unbearable......

So this will be it for me for now. See what I can manage later on with a painful mouth LOL!!!

Jared coming to Visit....

Well, its Saturday afternoon and Jared is coming to visit soon for a sleep over, so thought I would get it and post something before my cruisy saturday turns hectic!! I have managed 21 LO's for March and yes that means I am now 7 LO's behind...hhhmmmm... I do still have a few more days, I will attempt to get some more done, but in the meantime here is what I have to show....

1st one is Sar's March sketch over at Mystical. She did really well considering it was her first sketch. Here is my take:

Its actually her and Cooper at my 30th birthday. I just love how they were being so happy naturally and not really posing.... Gorgeous.

This next one is a just because, but is a Pencillines Sketch from the archives:

Its Charlotte the first time she had 2 minute noodles. She just loved them.

And, not sure if I am allowed to post this yet, but since I have submitted it and voting will start in only a few hours, I thought it wouldnt be such a big deal. So here is my Week 4 Mystical, China Challenge. We had to use A big photo, Numbers and Bling... I have all that, now I just need the votes to stay in the race!!!!

Well, thats about it for me. I start a new position at work on MOnday so that will be interesting. Its only temporary but its manageing a whole department on my own. I have done it before, but I feel as though this will be more challenging.....wish me luck!!!!

The end of another hectic week.

Well it has been another very hectic week, at home, work and socially. Work... I wont bore you with it, but I will bore you with my scrapping, my crop night, and of course my great costume making!!!!

My day on Friday started out, that I wouldnt actually be able to go as my lil-sis Bree who is my Friday night babysitter was sick, so thought it was best she went home to rest.....I rang the shop to cancel, and then Sarah offered for her husband Daniel to mind Charlotte so I could go, but my little monkey, plus their own 3... didnt think it was really fair on him... And then Bree turned up... yippee!! I ended up being a little bit late though, cause me being the organised person I am, thought on the eve of Bailey's dress up party, I really should organise the costumes...oops!!!
Then as I was about to pack my stuff in the car, my neighbour (Kindra's husband) came over to see if I wanted to send Charlotte to their place so I could go scrapping... how nice was he... Kindra was already at the shop and she didnt know he had offered, which made it even nicer that he thought of me like that. Thanks Jared!!

So what I managed to get done at the Scrapbooking Delights crop night was the following:
Priority of course was the complete week 3 for amazing race over at Mystical. I liked how it turned out, just hope others do too to vote for me to stay in the race....

Thanks to Sarah too for actually sending my LO in for the gallery otherwise I wouldnt have got it in in time... Thanks, babe... I actually pinched this photo from the gallery!!!

The next 2 are both sketches from Pencillines. They were in the archive section, and think they are both pretty good. They are fairly simple sketches, which I think sometimes is good especially when the photos are cute already!!!

And here are some pics from the party yesterday. It was very funny cause when I was getting the photos' Bailey was saying "cheese" and smiling.... behind his mask!!!! Funny kid.... Can you believe he is only 2 weeks off being a whole year older than Charlotte... he is just so tiny!!

And this is my little Jessie....

And Bree was the Slinky Dog.... but unfortunately the slinky part didnt travel very well!!! oops....

I didnt get many photos unfortunately either as the battery on my camera died early into the day which is always the way isnt it... but at least I got the ones I did.

Well, since today is 22nd March, I have done 18 LO's, which is 4 behind my goal... Bette try and get some more done tonight. Will see how I go....

Back again...

I was running behind on my March self challenge, so I made sure I did another LO last night while Ben watched Underbelly on tele. Well, what turned out in the end was a double LO which is quite rare for me lately.... I cheated a bit... Oh ok, allot and scrap lifted from Sarah, but I just LOVED her Eore page and thought I could make this one just as cute... and to be honest, I think it turned out quite cute. I do like it. Here tis, my baby girl opening the huge 1kg easter egg.

I am a sucker for Red Tulip and since Easter in the only real time you can get it, I make the most of it.

This is a close up of the gorgeous Easter Bunny which I picked up the other day from my LSS Scrapbooking Delights. Its a Meri Meri Accent. I just couldnt leave it on the shelf, it had my name written all over it.... you can see why cant you?

And another funny photo from home. Yesterday afternoon, Charlotte decided to hold a birthday party for her little dolly "Bindi". She called her Bindi cause we said it looked like Bob Irwin, but then she started calling her Bindi. So anyway, here she is, cups lined up for her little dolly friends, and they all had party hats on. She carried on the party later by including natkums (napkins, but thats what Charlotte calls them), and she used the cake tin as a pretend cake. Her imagination is just beautiful.

Ready for a New Week.... Amazing Race Week 2 - Votes are in....

The votes are in over at Mystical, and we will find out tomorrow morning who will be eliminated, and who will be going through to Round 3.... Fingers crossed. Since the votes are all in, I can show my LO for Week 2 which was Greenland - White with Brown.

These next 2 LO's were just because ones.... No submissions to any forum, sketch site, just my album!!!

LO # 1 is actually a scraplift from me new found blog friend Tiff. She does some awsome layouts, and I loved her version of this one, so thought I would give it a go... Thanks Tiff xx

LO # 2, was one I made up myself... yes thats right... its been a while, but I had to try and find my own mojo. I like how it turned out. The photo isnt the best as I took it at night and is a bit shadowed, but I just wanted to get it on before my hectic working week starts all over again.

So thats it... Up to 13 LO's so only a little bit behind my March goal, but since its only half way through, I have some opportunity to catch up.

Today, I went shopping to Spotlight for items to make Charlotte a Jessie outfit to wear to my nephew Bailey's 4th birthday next Saturday. Jessie is the Cowgirl on Toy Story 2 and Charlotte just loves her... Will show off my creation once its finished Wish me luck!!!

Managed to also fit a visit to my beautiful Godchildren today when I popped into Sarah's place....I didnt do any scrapping, which was lucky as there wasn't much room left on the table for me!!!

The Weekend has Arrived

Well its the weekend, the Mystical Scrapbooking challenge deadline is 6.00pm tonight for week 2 and I havent started it... I just have had such a hectic week with Charlotte's birthday, work and still feeling under the weather.... the week has just disapeared... I am heading down to my LSS Scrapbooking Delights to get me some brown PP cause I have so much white here.... just no browns!!!

Speaking of Mystical... I havent shown off my Week 1 LO yet oops... so here it is.

I was pretty stoked I got through to round 2, thought I would be eliminated the first week....

This next LO is an old Pagemaps again... I love the archive section of this site. And I am liking how the LO finally turned out also.

So this makes it 10 LO's for March so far which means I am now 3 LO's behind... better get cracking on my self challenge or I will do what Hayley did and not complete the challenge.... ha ha, she challenged herself not to buy anything for the month of March in the way of scrapping stuff.... but on day 12, she forgot and bought stuff. Was only adhesives, but still. Way to go Hayley he he!!!

I mentioned Charlotte's 3rd birthday was on this week. Her are a few pics from the day... I didnt get a decent over shot of the cake in which Ben made btw, but I hope you can see it from these pics. It was Little Miss Sunshine this year. He did really well I think....

The other little girl in the pic is not my long lost "other daughter", it is Charlotte's best friend Taylah.... There was no moving her from Charlotte for the photo!!!

We gave Charlotte our presents in the morning of her birthday, and as you can see she was pretty impressed..... She so loves her Daddy!!!

Here are the lolly bags which I made from envelopes... I learnt this at a Stampin Up Demonstration with Vanessa Webb. They are called "Bagelopes". Cute ha!

And this is my beautiful Goddaughter Bronte, at the park playing peek-a-boo on the equipment... this baby girl is just too cute!!

These last photos are from Sunday night when we went bowling for my neice Brodee-Leigh's birthday. This was Charlotte's first time at bowling and she just loved it... She cheered herself and everyone else on all night. Its a wonder she still had a voice left from all her cheering. Funny girl... Check out the Toyota Jump!!!

We're Rollin' Well for March.....

Well it is now the 8th March and I am currently up to date with my "self challenge" for March (1 LO per day....). I have kinda cheated cause I did a couple yesterday, but that will make up for not being able to do any during the week with me starting 4-day working week and of course Charlotte's birthday coming up on Tuesday..... So while I am on fire, lets see what I have to show off....

This one was a scraplift from Miss Emma. I loved the way she did the ribbons on her LO so i used this idea in my own. It isnt exactly the same as she only used 2 photos, I have 3, but the concept is the same... especially the ribbons.

This next one is one of my own, but is for the Color Combos which for this week is this:

And here is my LO... I am hoping I managed to get the colours right. Its hard sometimes being on the computer, whether the real life colours are the same....

The last LO is the Blind Challenge from Scrap Therapy which was done on 25th Feb. I missed it, but printed the instructions and have finally managed to do it. The papers used were from the month challenge kit at Scrapbooking Delights, but again I missed that deadline so just used it as I pleased....

I am going to try and head over to Sarah's today for some more scrapping, but not sure if I will get a chance. Because I am working tomorrow, I want to get the majority of Charlotte's party stuff done today before going to a bowling party for my niece's birthday.... boy it never ends does it... busy busy busy. I am still not feeling 100% either so its gonna take longer for me to do the stuff i need to do.....

I will leave you with a couple of pics from yesterday. I could hear Charlotte playing her guitar in the other room, and when I went in to see what she was doing this is what I found.....

Just like her Daddy does... she was sitting on his guitar stool, and pretended to sing into the microphone (she was singing, the microphone just wasnt on...) How gorgeous is this kid.

Well, I'm off to hopefully finish another LO before the end of the day... in between everything else I have to do that is....

Lurgies are still hanging around....

Well I still pretty much feel like crap, but getting there... Got some "good drugs" on Thursday at the Chemist. The Pharmacist only looked me up and down twice so I guess thats a good sign that he doesnt think I am going to go home and use the Demazin to make even better "drugs"... I wouldnt even know where to start!!!

Attempted to go to work yesterday only to be sent home by my boss after she said IU looked awful (should I take that as a compliment?) So, since I have been home, I have managed more LO's. One I am not allowed to show until after Sunday as its for the Mystical Amazing Race 6 week Challenge. I am happy with how it turned out in the end... I just hope I am not the first the be eliminated, but I know there are sssoooo many more talented scrappers out there than me so.. lets just see where it takes me.

I felt a little bit guilty scrapping while I was home sick .. but what the heck... its done now.

So these ones I CAN show off... the first one is of my gorgeous Georgia and I from Coopers 3rd Birthday at Small Frys. Sarah gave me the photo and I have finally gotten around the scrapping something (or someone) other than Charlotte again... Its a good change. I actually mucked up to start with cause we also went to Small Frys for Georgia's 1st birthday and so the initial journalling was all about her 1st birthday oops!! Not to worry, fixed up in the end, so now here it is. I have used the March Puzzle Sketch for this one.

This next one is actually using the left over photos from the Mystical Amazing Race LO. I got some little pics printed at Big W, thinking I would use them, but in the end the LO didnt allow for them. So, instead of wasting them, I ended up with another LO. This one was my take on PageMaps March 2009.

And this last pic is a show off pic. Charlotte was doing some letters at school the other day and they used these little foam letters. I found some the other day in Big W so I bought her a packet so we could do some letter matching at home. I wrote the words, and spread out some of the letters on the table and she had to find the matching letter and then stuck them on her page. I am very proud of her... she is doing so well considering she only 3 next week. This was all done by herself.

Well fingers crossed I dont get eliminated this week for Mystical, but we will know on Monday morning I guess.... I will be able to show the LO off then too.

Wednesday Lurgies....

Well, Charlotte and I are home from work and school (daycare) today cause we both have a bit of the "lurgies". It isnt too bad, but I think a day of relaxation in our pj's will be a good idea. Ben went off early this morning to his first day of his Undermanagers Course. He was gone when Charlotte woke up so she asked where he was. I told her he had gone to school..... she just laughed and said "Daddy doesnt go to school!". I told her it was work school and that was enough convincing....

So, here we are on day 4 of the month and I have achieved 2 LO's which for me is really good. I am aiming for 1 LO each day. Lets see how i go. I know things are going to pop up during the week where I wont actually get to do the 1, but if i try and then catch up the weekends... Might be achievable (I think).

Here is LO # 1 for March. Its Georgia's Christening from 2007. Once again Ben and I were Godparents, but in this photo, the family has grown slightly from Coopers with the addition of Charlotte and Georgia. Its funny to compare them cause they were taken under the same window....

The LO idea was taken from an old Pagemaps once again... I do like them very much. It gives me a starting point and then I just finish it how I feel at the time.

This next one is Inspired Blueprints #11 which is the first sketch for March. I like how this turned out... actually I like most of my IB sketch LO's....

And this next LO is Charlotte's. She usually cuts paper up and sticks stuff down, but this time she chose a photo.... I let her have the glue, flowers, some scraps and the kidy glitz. She also added her own stickers as you will see at the bottom, they are her new barbie stickers she conned me into buying her at the shops the other day!!!

I will leave you with a photo from yesterday. I had to go and pick my lil Sis up from work in Wollongong, and since Charlotte hadnt had a day sleep, I didnt want to take her as I knew she would fall asleep in the car and that would be her for the night... no dinner, bath etc. SO. I left her with Ben while he was finishing off mowing the lawn. When I got home, they were both in the shed... and this is what Charlotte looked like

And this is only the pic of her face and hands... I didnt photograph her clothes cause they were in the soaking bucket real quick!!! I asked her how she got so dirty and she told me "the shed made me dirty". Yes well, I can see what her and Ben are going to get up to when they have their "daddy days". Best be buying the bulk container of Napisan!!!

Well I am off to watch playschool with Charlotte (her demands). Hopefully I will have more to show off soon. I do actually have 2 half done LO's but am waiting on my order from Mystical so I can finish them off....was in desperate need of flowers, thanks Sar for pointing me in the right direction.

Made it in Just in time....

I decided at the last minute to do the colour challenge over at Mystical... It was Green, Grey, Pink and White/Cream. I knew I had plenty of Pink, was just the other colours I would struggle with. Well here is what I managed to get done in time at 10.00pm Feb 28......Just before the blackout. Well this wouldnt be such a big deal cause I have a laptop which of course can be used without power BUT, the internet didnt work without power!! So lucky Sara over at Mystical let me submit this morning. Thanks Sara.

It's very "pretty".

Thanks also to Miss Emma who gave me the idea of the big branch with the flower at the top. This girl is amazing, She has had a number of LO's accepted to mags and she is just on fire at the tender age of 13. I showed Ben her blog and he didnt know it was hers.... but thought the LO's were fantastic.

Anyway, here is LO # 11 for the month of Feb 09.

Lots to Share....

Well, this is what I consider lots for me!!!

I just spent the last half hour going through my LO's working out dates of the photos from the external hard-drive. For some reason, I didnt put the dates with the photos when they were first printed like I normally do? It may have had something to do with the hassles I had with Rabbit Photo. I finally got my prints and I just wanted to get in and use them. Oh well, its not that big a deal. It just means I can actually start putting them away in my new Print Blocks ring binder album I bought from Scrapbooking Delights last weekend.

First up is a photo of Charlotte who has just discovered Kindy Glitz. She was amused for hours which is good for me cause I got other stuff done.

Next up is tag which was made at Linda's Stampin Up Deomonstration coducted by Vanessa Webb. We had a good night, just would have been nice to get a bit more scrapping done though... Oh well never mind!!! The tag is quite cute i thought.

And this is the card we also made at the demonstration. I think it turned out nicely also and I ended up ordering the stamps we used......

And I was planning on giving it to my sister for her birthday, until just now..... I found Charlotte starting her craft time.... by doing some cutting..... Straight through the side of the card!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH well I guess I need to make a new one now. (I didnt take another photo, I was too devestated, while Charlotte spent some time in "timeout")

This next LO is one I did this morning at a lovely quiet scrap day at Sarah's place. It was a sketch from Feb 2009 Pagemaps... I have just realised as I submit this post though, the question mark (?) has fallen off. It has since been put back on the finish off the question of "What's with that Face?" Its another photo of Charlotte from 2007, and since I scrap in (sort of) date order, I am slowly catching up he he!! I hear you laugh!!!!

This one is of Charlotte when she fell asleep standing up on the lounge. She is just like her Father... can fall asleep just about anywhere!!

This is another Pagemaps Sketch, but I am not sure which one it was. All I know is that it was an older one. AND, I have submitted this without looking at it properly... I didnt journal in the journal block. I didnt have a date last night when I scrapped it, so I left the journalling also. I have since journalled it oops sorry!

And this last one is a LO I completed the other night. Its Stuck Sketch #69, so a little late, but its OK.... I just needed some assistance with this one!! Its a photo of my little sister Shonae (Left) and my neice Brittany-Jo (right) at Windang Beach in 2007. Every time I tried to get a photo of them, they did the stupid "MySpace Face" and I was so over it by the end of the day. This was the best I could get... I kept asking them not to do the MySpace Face!!

So, that's about it for me for today. I had to leave Sarah's to come home and cook dinner before Ben goes back to night shift, but I will try and get at least one more LO done tonight. I managed to reach my goal of 10 12x12 LO's for the month, so I am happy with that, but over 10 would be even better.....

Weekend is over....

Well its the beginning of another week... how fast do the weekends go.....

Saturday we went looking at cars and found a few possibles, but we need to go back without our little monkey so we can actually drive some to make a decision.

Saturday night I stayed in and made up some more of Charlotte's birthday invitations. I managed to make up 12 of them but i have to get some more cards to do a couple more (cause the list has gotten a little longer!!). I will be able to do the middle section once we have confirmed the venue, cause i thought it might be easier NOT to have it at home this year... less clean up!!!

So on the scrapping front, I have 1 LO and some embellishment swaps to show. This is the first time i have done both of these so hope they are ok....

I have signed up for the Mystical 6 week Around the World Challenge which starts next week so I am excited about that one... something different for me.

Oh well, best be off. Hopefully will be able to do some more tonight while Ben is out... BUT my aim is to be able to scrap in my room before then??? Is this possible? I will take a pic when its sorted out.....

I've Been Nagging Again.....

Well I thought I best be posting my latest LO's since I was nagging again at Sarah.... But then again, I havent done half as many as she has so not as much to show.
Well last night, Charlotte had her little friend Keeley sleeping over while Keeley's parents went to a 60th birthday party, which meant I stayed home and didnt go to Cross Stitch Night (it ended up being cancelled anyway) OR Crop Night. Instead I had a nice quiet night in with Ben and managed 1 LO while we listened to the girls upstairs giggling until 10.30pm.... hence they were both rather tired today!!!!
So here is my LO from last night. Its #10 for Inspired Blueprints. I do like this one... The flowers in the bottom corner are actually stamps from Stampin Up and then i cut them out... quite cute if you ask me....

This is the invitation for Charlotte's 3rd Birthday..... (I am still in denial you know)....

And this is the one and only card I have made for 2009... and it was done at a Stampin Up workshop from last week....

Got some more great news today from my dear Sarah.... she has applied and been accepted (which is no real surprise really) to White with 1 design team. I just wish I had the time she had, but working just seems to get in the way.... but no work, means no $$ for scrap supplies, so there has to be a compromise somewhere.....

Well better get back to it.... I have another 12 or so invites to do..... sigh!!!

I was tagged for the 1st time by my bf Sar and i almost forgot to keep it going....

I mentioned this in a post a few days ago, but this is the 6th photo in the 6th album on my PC at the moment..... I have so many other photos but they are on my external hard-drive, but since these ones havent been moved over yet i only have 7 albums....oops....

So anyway, this is Charlotte's cow handpuppet which she got from the air stewards on our fight back from New Zealand. The other night she was playing very quietly in her cubby house, and when asked what she was doing she poked her head out and said "my cow has sores!!". She had emptied the packet of bandaids on her cow... It was very impressive how neatly she had positioned them too. She is such a crack up.

Wet Rainy Saturday...

Its funny isn't it... we complain about the heat, now we finally get some rain and I am over it already. I know we need it, I just have to look at my back lawn to realise the grass is struggling, but it leads to a bored 2 (almost 3) year old.

After watching multiple kids movies, I thought it was a good idea to get the gum boots and rain coats out and go find some puddles. Charlotte thought that was a great idea.... luckily we live in a fairly quiet neighbourhood, cause when we got out there we discovered the only puddles which didnt contain mud were in the gutters. She had a ball before coming inside to prepare dinner for Ben going off to work... yes work on Valentines Day..... he is actually doing an overtime shift. It doesnt really matter cause we dont usually do the whole Valentines thing anyway.

So most of the day, i decided to get a start on a cross stitch for my brother and sis-in-laws expected baby. They are about 10 weeks now and i was so excited when they told me. I already had the pattern, but i went out and bought all the threads needed. I dont think it will take me long to do it, but i dont want to leave it til the last minute like i have done in the past!!!

After dinner, i thought i would change crafts and do some scrapping. I managed to get Feb done in my 2009 mini album which is pretty cool.

Well, Charlotte is in bed, so i will clean up and see if i get anything else done tonight....

Working Day Today

Nothing to show in the way of scrapping, but thats what you get when you have to work i guess. Its getting really hard doing the 3 days, being that it seems nothing is getting done while i am not there.... so come Wednesday, i am catching up from the Friday before. Not happy Jan!! Oh well i did a heap of stuff today so i am hoping to shut my door and not have anyone annoy me tomorrow... thats the plan anyway!!

So Ben has gone to work, Charlotte is in bed (hopefully asleep) and i am packing up my scrap stuff. My cleaner comes tomorrow and i dont like to have stuff sprawled everywhere like i have at the moment. She is here to clean my house, not clean up my crap.

Ben is at meeting tomorrow night so it will just be me and Charlotte again so i am hoping for some scrap time after dinner - but will have to see how i go.

Oh well, best be off. House is on and i think i am in need of an early night.

On a roll!!!

Ben only has 2 more nights left and it will be the beginning of my working week tomorrow. So to make sure i get my "quota" done for the week, i made sure i made the effort and got another LO done today. Sophie came down for a play but unfortunately after a very big morning, i had to put Charlotte to bed for her afternoon sleep, so i made the most of having a very quiet house and completed the following:This photo is of Charlotte & my niece Katie. These 2 are only 6 weeks an 6 days apart... too cute. Believe it or not, i have only used 1 piece of cardstock and 1 piece of PP here. The PP is from Scenic Route company and named "Charlotte". How approriate.

Oh, i must show a couple of pics of Charlotte from tonight. She was playing quietly in her little Dora tent, but i thought she was being a little TOO quiet!!! I asked her what she was doing and the response i got was this:

She is just gorgeous!!!!

She had a great day at Gymnastics this morning, and was commended for her improvement from one of the swimming Mums. She has just come such a long way lately. Its as if something inside her has just clicked.... she is doing so well!!!

9th Day of the Month... Going well

Well it seems February might just be a good month for me on the Scrapping front... Even though Charlotte didnt have a sleep this afternoon, I did manage to get myself organised and complete 2 layouts. The first one is a 'just because" of my best friends Sarah & Linda. This photo was taken at my 30th birthday.... how gorgeous are these girls.... both of who had only a few months earlier had given birth to 2 gorgeous children (Georgia & Jared).

The 2nd is my take of the IB #9 sketch. I had to flip the sketch due to not having any portrait photos, but i think it turned out well... infact i like it. I have done well this time!!!

So tomorrow we have a busy morning. Charlotte enjoyed gymnastics last week and is keen to go again, but then we have to go straight to swimming lessons. Its a rush to do both, but it wont be long before she turns 3 (i am so in denial....) and since her swimming class will change, we thought it best just to stick it out until we know what time her new lessons will be.

Next week Ben will actually be able to come and watch her as he will have started his weekend work by then. I will also be able to get some pics then too since we will both be there.

Watching Brothers & Sisters which will be finished soon, so best be cleaning up the kitchen from dinner and my scrapping.

Sunday Nightshift!!!

The weekend is over, and Ben is off to nightshift for yet another week. Today was our last weekend together before he starts weekend work so we decided to spend the day together as a family....which meant no scrapping for me today!!

BUT... I did manage to finally get to Crop Night at Scrapbooking Delights on Friday night. I finished 3 layouts and the 4th requires a title so not quite ready. I wanted to use my Cricut cause i knew I could work the exact size needed... will get to that as soon as Charlotte is in bed.

So, here they are:

The first one is an Inspired Blueprints sketch from last year (December i think). It was during the time my computer was in getting fixed and my old PC didnt upload pics so Sarah did it for me (thanks babe), and has finally given it back to me.

I love this page, and i look back on this and see how much Charlotte still LOVES that little guitar which was a 1st birthday present from Marissa, Gordon & Keeley. Now when Ben gets his guitar out, Charlotte goes and grabs hers aswell as her Simpsons "pickle" (pick) to join him. She plays Bah Bah Blacksheep....too cute!!

The White with 1 challenge for February was white with white and to be honest at first i thought this was completely nuts..... But after seeing a few of the other LO's submitted, and giving it a go i thought it was a great idea... Certainly nothing i would have thought of. Once again, this is a photo from 2007 (yes i am that far behind) of Ben and Charlotte very comfortable on the lounge on a hot day..... too cute to miss a photo opportunity.

And this last one was a "just because" LO... yes believe it or not, i actually thought of this one myself.... OK i will admit, it was originally meant to be last months Inspired sketch, but no-one had a copy of it on Friday night so i made something of it myself!!! These photos crack me up every time i see them. Charlotte had an absolute ball this day helping Ben wash the car. I think she had more water in her shoes and on her clothes than what was put on the car!!!Last night Ben and I went to Ben cousin "Ketto's" 21st birthday. It was dress up and the theme was Hollywood. It was just fantastic seeing what people turned up dressed in.... there were only 3 double up costumes which out of 100 people was pretty good. So i dressed up a Vivienne Ward from Pretty Women. I originally thought of going as Vivienne BEFORE she met the rich guy (sorry cant think of his name right now...) but Ben's reaction wasnt the best, so i went for the Red Dress. So thanks to Sarah for the loan of the dress and Linda for the loan of the gloves, this is what i came up with (sorry no full shots).

Give you a clue for what Ben dressed up as.... "Oh Groovy Baby", "Will we shag now or shag later!"... yes thats right, Austin Powers. He was so good at it too. Its scary how well he portrayed the character.... right down to the horrible teeth!! This photo is of Ben and his cousin Yaya (Talia)... Ben took these photos, but Yaya was laughing too much.... he was such a crack up! Oh Yaya was Lara Croft from Tomb Raider btw.

These photos was taken later in the night without the teeth... i just couldnt look at them anymore!!!
I have just put Charlotte to bed and realised it is now puring with rain.... Fingers crossed it stays here for a while and also heads down south to Victoria. The devastation is just horrific, i just cant fathem what those people must be gogn through. The last newsflash was 63 people confirmed dead.... its just terrible.

They are just awsome scrappers, i just wish i had as much talent and mojo as they did.....keeping in mind Emma is only 13... she is a gem!!!!!

Delayed....here for 2009!!!!

Now that we have our computer back I will be able to upload some things and get this blog happening again...... I wont bore you with things that happended in 2008 (even though i did HEAPS of LO's towards the end of the year....), I will start fresh for 2009.

Ben, Charlotte & I went on a cruise on 5th Jan to New Zealand which was just fantastic. The cruise was 14 nights and then it docked in Auckland where we stayed for a further 5 nights.... We hired a car and drove to Rotarua, Waikatomo and then back to Auckland where we flew home. It was so nice to have this holiday and i think it will be the last for a while now.... Gotta save up some more pennies and then there is the holiday allowance with work... oops!!!

Ok so, my scrapping for 2009 isnt anywhere near as much as Sarah, but she had 26 days on me so i think its reasonable what i have actually achieved.

The first one is an Inspired Blueprints sketch for January. I didnt end up submitting it, but thats not a worry for me. Its another LO completed which is more important for me at the moment.... This was Charlotte's 1st school (daycare) photos. Her teachers were so surprised she was so photogenic..... its any wonder since she has been photographed since the moment she was born....actually even while she was BEING born.... funny!!!!!

This next one was also a sketch and unfortunately I cant remember which one as it was just one that Kindra gave me as I was having a "moment"... sorry!!!! Believe it or not, this was a time when Charlotte did not want her photo taken.... She keeps commenting on it now saying how she didnt want her photo taken. My lil Sis's Bree & Shonae just kept on smiling.....

And these next ones are my 2009 project. I decided I would pick 1 day each month to take a photo and scrap that day. For January Ben chose 5th as this was the day we left on our cruise which was exciting. I am using an "I can see Clearly Now" album which I bought ages ago from Scaploot. I think it was the Paper show in Penrith Sarah and I attended.... I just didnt know what to do with it, so this is what I decided on..... So the first one is the title page.......

And this is the 5th of January.......the blue dots at the bottom of each page were put on by Charlotte... She just loves helping me, I think she did a pretty good job too!!

I am not sure if I should stick to the same day each month, or pick a significant day in that month which was a "family" day???? HHHMMMM, something to think about, but I better hurry up and decide......

Well, today was very eventful, but the camera wasnt on hand unfortunately. It started out with Charlotte going to real gymnastics for the very first time. She did really well and just loved jumping into the foam pit off the trampoline. She would like to go back again next week which is always a bonus. THEN at swimming she floated by herself. I was so excited, as was her teacher. At the end of the lesson she got her very first swimming cerificate and a snake so she was quite chuffed by all the attention.... YAY!!!!!

Well, might head off and see if i can at least start another LO before Ben comes home from work.. but then again, there is some ironing that needs doing.... Scrap/Ironing?/Scrap/ironing....decisions, decisions he he!!!!

I have been in trouble recently from BF Sar cause i havent posted anything... It has been a while, but i have had so much going on with my little sis wedding. But its now over and i can get back to MY stuff now.... so lets start with some pics from the wedding cause i think they are really nice....

This is my Lil Sis Dannii (the bride of course) leaving her house for the church. Behind her is my other gorgeous Lil sis Bree

So the day was great, Dannii & Paul are finally married and it took me a week to get over it all!!!

Now for my scrapping. I have been pretty much just doing challenges and Crop nights to get my mojo flowing again and i think its helping. Lets see what i have to show off.....

The first one was the Blind Scrap at Scrapbook Divas on Saturday night. I was at the Super X so didnt do it on the night so i kind of cheated by getting the instructions and doing it later... i got a bit of inside knowledge. I am not sure if it is how it was meant to turn out, but i still like it all the same. I havent done a double LO for ages so yeah i think it was good. Will post it in the gallery when its opened up on Wednesday night.

I finally made it to Crop night at Scrapbooking Delights on Friday night and this is what i came up with.

1. I love this photo of my little Sis Shonae and i got it enlarged to 8 x 10, but then didnt know what to do with it. I have used an overlay here which is the first time i have used one. Looks pretty cute i think.

2. This is a sketch challenge for Bons. Its not due til the end of November, but i got it done while i could. These photos seem like yesterday when they were taken. Can't believe it was over a year ago......My little girl is growing up so fast!!!

3. This one was a sketch for Mystical Scrappers, Black Magic..... Colour palate was Hot pink, lime green and yellow and technique was doodling..... This photo was perfect for these colours....

I did another sketch for Inspired Blue Print, but i havent quite finished it so i will post it at a later date.

This next one was a Blind Scrap at Scrap Divas ages ago. It was funny, cause i wasnt going to do it, but then i thought "why not?" Had nothing else to do, but in the meantime Ben was on the computer so he was helping me with the layout. I am happy how it turned out, but a major issue with Rabbit Photo made the photo unavailable for ages, and i didnt end up posting it. Oh well, once again another LO done.....

This is another one i did ages ago but didnt post. It is not a challenge or a sketch or a blind challenge, just my idea... I dont usually use these colours together, but turned out well!!!!

Well there you have it.... I have actually been doing things. Mum came over tonight and i helped her do a title page for one of the teachers who si retiring. She has got all the kids to write something nice about this teacher and she is going to put them all in a book, so yeah the title page was just to pretty it up a bit.... Looked good.....

Better go and check the washing machine.

I am still not feeling 100% and Charlotte and I have been off work today and yesterday... Hopefully we are better tomorrow as we have my sis Dannii's Hens Night. Anyway i have finished another LO which was inspired by Sketch #59 on stuck!?

It is my gorgeous little kids niece and nephew (who are really my God daughter and my 2nd cousin) Georgia and Jared. These photos were taken when they were only 2 months old so they are alot older now. I just love the photos and so glad i finally scrapped them. I asked my bf Sarah for some assistance with the title but she was too cheeky and wouldnt give me any of her ideas cause she has pages to do of these kids also.... little bugger. I think my title came out how i wanted it anyway. Here it is...

Well this LO was meant to be done nearly a fortnight ago. It was a Blind Scrap Challenge from Bon Scrap, but i missed doing it at the time because Charotte was playing up going to bed, and then i couldnt get the instructions... and ...well anyway better late than never. I really like the way it turned out even if i didnt submit it....

We havent had much news about my M.I.L except that she made it safely out of surgery and will slowly be woken from her sedation. Fingers crossed and all prayers are happening now for a full recovery!!

The first is the LO (obviously). I cant believe i hadnt scrapped Charlotte's 1st Santa photo... well now i have. Better late than never... To be honest i actually couldnt find the photos but luckily i found them and have been able to fill the gap in her album.....

Then there is the card. I wasnt sure if i had to put a photo on it, but i havent so i made up my own rules really.... Its pretty good. I am sure there will be some better, but i have fullfilled the challenge.

Now its time for sleeping since Charlotte has FINALLY fallen asleep...... (at 10.30pm)

Dora The Explorer

Well the Dora the Explorer Pirate show was a hit with Charlotte. She was dancing and singing and got so excited when Dora said Spanish words that she knew.... At the end she said "Mummy that was fun!". Enough for me to say she had a good time. we werent allowed to take photos, but before the security guard came around to "slap our wrists" we managed to get a few... Take a look...

It is the October challenge at Scrapbooking Delights. It is a Christmas theme and we had to do a LO and a card.... Got another page finished so thats the bonus for me at the moment. Will be good to see what Sar and Kellie come up with cause they are doing the same challenge....

A lovely day spent at Sarah's yesterday had me complete the Challenge for Scrap Divas, and all but finish the White with 1 challenge. I have done the layout, just didnt have the photo printed at the time so need to get that done tomorrow.

In the meantime, here is the Scrap Divas challenge which was Pink, Orange, Brown, Number and Handwriting. It is a photo of my niece Brodee-Leigh on her 7th Birthday. Wouldnt say its one of my better pages, but i am happy with it.....

These challenges are helping so much. I said to DH last night, even if i dont submit them it is giving me some ideas that i may not normally use... I mean i would never think to use just White with Brown?????????????

The next one is the finished product from the Scrap Therapy blind scrap which was held on Wedneeday night. It was fun and i am happy with the end result.....

The loss of our precious Austin

Yesterday was not a good day. Wednesday September 24th 2008, was the day we recieved bad news that our puppy dog had died. It was such a shock. He wasnt even 5 years old so it wasnt as if he was old.... He had been off his food for a couple of days but thats about it. Ben came to work to give me the news which was really hard. The hardest part was to come though.... telling our 2 year old and trying to make her understand that he wouldnt be coming home.

Wyland Aussie Idol (Austin) was our first pet. He was the most placid, beautiful dog. He was so loyal and he will be sadly missed by us all. RIP Austin, we love you!

Wednesday night though i was cheered up a bit by joining in ScrapTherapy blind scrap. I was a bit nervous actually like i was sitting for an exam. I think my layout turned out pretty good though and i will post it as soon as i can get a photo of it. I dont think it would be any good taking one until day time. I missed my opportunity cause i went for a walk and it was dark by the time i got in. No worries... will see if i can get anything done tonight.

Weekend of Scrapping Efforts

Well the weekend started out slow on the scrap front. I was looking forward to heading over to Sarah's for a scrap day, but was feeling under the weather. It was a combination of getting "lurgies" from Ben and Charlotte and a big night the night before...... So instead of spreading my germs, I stayed home and Sar & I made up our own cyber scrap day!!.

Before I could venture into my scrap room though, i had to clean up from the night before... So glad I had my little "Fairy Helper" to lend a hand......

I think I would have done better with some personal inspiration, but I managed to get three layouts done so all in all a sussessful day on my part.

The first one is of Charlotte on her 1st birthday with her new bike. She looks so little on it..... This layout was the Diva September Challange at Scrapbook Divas. I had never submitted a challenge before, but I was happy with the outcome so I submitted it for fun. It had to include Red, Pink, Green & Aqua Blue Colours + Scollops + Ribbon, Lace or fabric + 3D Embellishments

This next one is the 2nd part of the above. I didnt submit it for the challenge, but just used the leftovers to keep the colouring the same. Its Charlotte on the bike again, taking Jed for a ride. Jed was made for her by Zia Leigh before she was born and he has travelled everywhere with her since.

The last one is of my neice Brittany and Charlotte. This was done with the assistance from a sketch from Little Book of Sketches. I tried to use different colours - yellow and purple isnt a combination I use very often.

Yes I know, I am 18 months late, but i have finally scrapped Charlotte's 1st birthday. The photo isn't the best cause i took it at night, but it is just to show i am back.... I checked out my gorgeous Sarah's blog and she has inspired me so much. She has so many spectacular layouts so i knew i needed to get my act into gear.... This layout is fairly simple. I used the lilac purple bling cardstock, patterned velum which I bought in a pack from spotlight forever ago (sorry cant remember the brand name), which i cut out using Alphalicious font on the Cricut, and then i stitched it down using my sewing machine. The flowers i bought forever ago also from Scrapbooking Delights, the fibre across the top is a Basic Grey - Romani, and the little blocks arent as clear, but they say FIRST - dont ask me where they came from? They are just these little bead things????????????????

I havent really used anything different in my techniques, i just needed to get something done before i recreate my mojo (as Sar calls it)..... Sar has booked me in (I hope) to the crop night on Friday night so i will need to get myself very organised before then.

I am back at work tomorrow though, so I will see how much time i have during the week... In saying that, Ben is on night shift so this might be a good week to get going. See if my brain is still able to function by the time i get home.

My Sis and Brother-in-law (to be) and nephew (to be) just came to visit. It was great to see them, and now it will be heads down bums up to get other things organised for their upcoming wedding - including me losing the 4 kilos i put on before i went away. It wouldnt be such a big deal but the dresses have arrived and i was 4 kilos lighter when i tried it on so now i need to be able to STILL fit into it.... Oh man!!!!! Its all good.... back to crackers at work for lunch, and lots of water and fruit.... I can do it!!!! I have faith in myself.......aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well Charlotte crashed asfter a big day and no sleep, so I will be off to tidy up before I too hit the sack. Hopefully I will be on soon with some more to show.... I also think I will check out the challenge on Scrap the Music cause I think it sounds like fun...

My Monkey has sticky eyes!!

Hello again. This is the second day in a row but i have nothing to show off. I really need to get into my room and get some organisation back. It is pretty much a write off since i was madly finishing my cousins 21st album (which i finished on time by the way), and i havent really been in there since..... Yesterday afternoon Charlotte woke up with a sticky eye so i rang the Drs straight away to see if i could get in and luckily got a 5.20pm appointment.... 7.00pm we got home with a diagnisis of exactly what i thought... conjunctivitis. Oh boy. We have been in the middle of no-where for 6 weeeks, we are home for 2 days and she gets this from somehere.

So today we are in isolation. We were meant to be going to Ben's brothers place for lunch with some other friends, but that isnt happening now... so Ben has gone to fire training and us girls are home alone. Oh well, i know i will spending some time upstairs now..... Sarah is on to me...... She is warming up the whip, i can hear it!!!!
I was also hoping to go and visit a friend and her new baby, but we wont be doing that either. Mikaylah was born yesterday by caesarian - she is the new baby sister to Taylah who is Charlotte's best friend. She hasnt seen her for the 6 weeks we have been away and was so looking forward to going to see her, but we will have to wait til Monday now when she goes to school.....
Ok, the mission will be starting right now.... going to clean up my room.

Returning from a very long stint..... Slack i know!!

I am returning thanks to my bf Sarah. She asked me what my blog address was and you know i couldnt tell her.... I couldnt even remember my log on so i have reset and all is good.... so.... I'm back!!!!! Just as well too since my last log on was November 2007.... could it have been that long ago? Maybe so........... Oh boy.....

I havent dont much in the way of scrapping. Its too hard when you are in the middle of Central Australia which is where i have been for the past 6 weeks. It was very good and i enjoyed it but i am so glad to be home. When we travelled to Cape York a few years back the 4 weeks we were away was the longest i had been away from home, and now this was the longest..... Charlotte did really well though. She got a bit home sick but thats understandable. She didnt understand that she couldnt just go over to her friends place whenever she felt like it.

we ended up doing about 11,000 km all up... saw some iteresting things - some with very different lifestyles.... Well best be off. I would like to do some scrapping before i get 10 years behind, but i have a scrap room to clean up before then.... Leesh

Posting my Pages all in one session

Hello again. I have been away for a while, but now i am back... I have heaps of LO's to share and i will post as many as i can tonight as i have so many to catch up on... it just seems like it takes for ever to post a LO... am i doing something wrong, or is that normal? Anyway here goes......

This LO is once again of my baby girl Charlotte. She used to love playing in this playgym thingo that we borrowed from Sarh.... This was a good one for using scraps.... i know we all have SSSOOO many scraps, they do come in handy sometimes.

This next LO is of Charlotte and Me... yes this is Me!!! I took advantage of the circles for journalling which i thought was a really good idea (if i may say so myself of course). Quite happy with this one....

Now do i have any more? Yes there is more.. I told you i hadnt listed for ages. This one is cute. My neighbourly scrapping buddie, challenged me to do 2 pages without using flowers as embelishments.... I know i use them alot, but its so easy to get away with it when you are scrapping little girls..... Well here is LO 1 of my "Using No Flowers Challenge"

And this is LO # 2..... Oh no, LO # 2 was the one i already posted of Sarah and Cooper.... See i can do it.... But i am so back into flowers again.....

Well you could say this particular scrap day i did exceptionally well.... 5 pages in one day, and i incomplete.... It did help the fact that my baby girl was off for the weekend with her Aunty Del so i was completely free, and it was a scrap session and a half..... I was so proud of myself..... Here they are...... This is of my little Sis Shonae when she sang in a Talent Quest in Wollongong. Very happy with this one....i just wish i hadnt procrastinated for so long over starting it!!!Left - This one i would say was a challenge for myself.... I seem to chose very square and straight layouts.... so this time i braved the CIRCLE.... This was Charlotte's 1st time on a motor bike, ben was so excited becasue she wasnt scared of it, even when he started the motor...

Right - another one where i tried to get away from the "square".... i REALLY like this one, The photo to other people looks fairly boring, but it was a "moment" i will always remember, so i guess thats the important part.....

Ok, i havent listed all of my LO's but my eyes are barely staying open, so i will leave you with these ones and be back soon to continue posting.... I have actually nearly finished another one which i did today while Charlotte and Ben had their afternoon naps!!!! Back another day!

Just wanted to show off the next stage of the quilt. I have added another border and it looks really good. I have taken a close up of the border to show the gorgeous fabric i was speaking of earlier. Love it!!!! Now i gotta start searching for a nice block to go around the outside hmmmm. Have missed quilting.... Been too busy with other things (like work)... there just isnt enough time in the day!!!!

Its Monday night and Charlotte has finally settled to bed. She went down at 7.45, but has only just gone to sleep. She has been very unsettled for nearly 3 weeks now and to be honest, it is getting to me a bit. I know it was her teeth to start with, but now i really dont know what it is.... She was up at 1.30 this morning crying, and she had a really husky voice so i am thinking she has a sore throat.... I called the dr this morning to try and get her in, but they were booked out which is typical for a MOnday, but she actually seemed fine all day????

Oh well, i started a post on Saturday night but i didnt list it, and i just re-read it, and wont bother now cause it is over with and.... well this is another day.... Yesterday my dearest girlfriends came over to scrap - Sar, Linda, Leigh and Kindra. Had a great day. The kids were fairly well behaved so i think it was producative for all of us. I got a double layout done. Havent taken any pics yet, but will do tomorrow in the day light. Its funny, cause i had these ideas when i got the photos printed, but i ended up with way too many photos (which i think is half my problem), and it ended nothing like the oroginal plan... I will show off some of the layouts i have done previously though... here goes.... They are all of my girl, but thats not such a bad thing.... after all if i ddint take pics of her i probably wouldnt have anything to scrap.....

Oh well. My cricut got a work out, it was quite funny actually cause at one stage we nearly had to take a number to see who was next....

So thinking time for me... I had a chat with my boss on Thursday about my working future. Basically i am relieving someone else who is on Maternity Leave and she is due to come back beginning of November. I wasnt sure how i would go with this job cause it is way more demanding than i have done in the past - just ask sarah, hardly any emails from me in the past 6 motnhs!!! Anyway, cut a long story short.... the girl i am relieving is comiung bacl 30 hours a week, which leaves 1 day for me. My current boss has suggested that i am now too "experienced" to go back to my old job.... but the catch is, she doesnt have anything else for me to do. I mean, she asked me what i had done in the past, and what i wanted to do in the future, and you know, the sad thing is.... i couldnt really answer her.... I hadnt really thought about it. I guess since having charlotte, she has been my priority and everything else for me has gone by the way side. I only really went back to work to keep in "the system" as givernment jobs are hard to come by, and then there was the "big people contact" and the extra $$$ for my addiction (scrapping that is, didnt sound too good did it!!!). I am really at a loss cause i really do not have the foggiest idea.... it sounds a bit silly to me now that i think about it but...... what do you think? I mean there will be plenty of relief work, but that will only be temporary, and i dont really want to get into something to find i enjoy it, for the other person to come back and i have to start all over again. I have actually enjoyed going to work, I have been tired at times, and i really love the weekends so i can spend the time with Charlotte, but if i could do the same work in maybe only 3 days, i would be so happy then... the best of both worlds really.

So there is my dilemna for the day.... Hope it didnt come across as depressing or anwything....

Its a Sick Household!!!! With Fireman Ben

Good morning, Ben has gone to fight fires - well actually they did that yesterday, today is clean up day...yay.... while Charlotte and i stay home sick. Charlotte has been very unsettled and on and off unwell for a few weeks and to be honest....i am over it. The weekend just gone she decided to contract conjunctivitis which she has NEVER had before. Took her to the Drs on Saturday and she gave her some antibiotic cream which is very difficult to get in the eyes when she is squirming. Most of it ended up in her "mile long" eyelashes...... so how much actually got into the eye i dont know!!!!

Oh well, Monday was Charlotte's 1st swimming lesson. We were tossing up whether to take her as we have our own pool, but finally decided we should go and get some tips on how to teach her properly.... so off we went... She did so well considering she hasnt been i the water since last summer... It was like she never had the break.

Yesterday, Charlotte and i stayed home as i am now unwell which is really hard since i had to be ok to look after Charlotte, but still try and rest for myself. I have come to believe thats what Mums have to do, and i should just deal with it hey!

BUT, while i was off i finally decided i needed to get back into my other hobby - quilting - and finish the quilt i started for my cousin Libbys 18th birthday present... which by the way was in August, so slightly late!!!! have taken a photo of it as it stands which is no where near finished, but certainly allot further on that i was yesterday morning. Unfortunately like most things, the photo doesnt do justice for the beautiful colours in the fabric. The feature fabric is just to dye for (hence the reason why i bought ALLOT of it). Fusiar pink with yellow, pink and white flowers...just gorgeous, and matched Libbys personality just perfectly! Here it is.....

What do you think? I am impressed with to be honest. It was actually a pattern my bestie Sarah got from her Mum off the internet. I really liked the pattern so i used the fabric i had alreay bought for a different pattern (i do that) and then just went for it. THEN once i had cut it all out, i realised it was only a wall sized quilt, so now i need to make it bigger.... that today's mission.... off i go!!!!! Leesh

Ben sleeps today so i like to take Charlotte out of the house so i know he gains a decent amount of sleep, so Charlotte and i spent a great day out.

It was quite windy when we woke again this morning, but headed off with Sarah & Karen for a walk anyway along the beach. I was quite surprised it wasnt nearly as windy in there as it was at home. Very pleasant indeed. Had a good walk along the bike track and back in time for the kids to have a play in the park, coffee and a coke for the non-coffee drinker (that would be me).

Headed to my parents place for a while but Charlotte fell asleep in the car on the way so she slept for most of the time we were visiting. Then it was time for home to cook dinner for my hubby ready for work... yes another night shift....

My neighbour Kindra was here when i arrived home showing off her latest purchase... a gorgeous little bike for her little Monkey who turns 3 on Monday. It was a very cute bike, and it is now stored away from peering eyes in our garage.

Havent managed to get any scrapping done today, sorry, but i figured i should do the dinner dishes and tidy up the kitchen instead... I know it was a big decision.... and unfortunately the kitchen won......

I should be heading off to the land of ZZZZ's soon anyway, but thought i would get a good start in and see what happens....

I will post a photo of my charlotte before i head off though. It was from the other day at the park just near here. We went with Sophie, Kindra and Thomas (oh an Molly, Kindra's dog). The girls rode their bikes, very cute....

Oops. Forgot to list the scrapbook page i did today... Finished it not long ago. Its a photo of my deaest friend Sarah and her little boy Cooper who happens to be Ben & mine Godson. It was a gorgeous photo and i think i like the layout too (if i may say so myself). enjoy!!

Hi. Its quite late, but really its normal for me to be up this late because Ben (my husband) is on nightshift, and i am not very comfortable going to bed and sleeping as i am when he is here. I should be used to it by now because he has been doing night shift for ages now but..... Nope i am not....
I am new to this by the way. My friend Sarah has a blog and so does her sis Nic. I have read a few and thought, hey why not.... So here it is.
I wouldnt say my life is all that exciting, but i do have a gorgeous husband and the most adorable little Girl Charlotte i could talk about.... (hence the name Charleegirl). They make me laugh all the time. And then there is my scrapbook pages i could show off. I love to show my work off especially the pages you feel really confident about and proud of.... Some of them you just think "oh yeah its ok, but its done now so lets move on", and others are just a "wow" factor.
Tonight i went to watch my little Sis x 2 in their singing and drama performance. They are 17 & 13 and just crack me up. They are off to Queensland next week to sing at Dreamworld. I would have liked to go, but just not possible at the moment. I am sure they will do well though and have a ball. Bree (17) was a fairy godmother in this drama thing and she makes up the lines as she goes i am sure. She is an absolute nutter.... I was meant to be at Cross Stitch Night with my gals, but i went to watch my sis's instead. I am sure they had fun without me all the same.
Oh well, i better go check on my little cherub and hit the sack, tomorrow is another day and lets see what it brings - better weather i hope..... and lose the wind please.....
